In June of 2015 Defying Gravity filed the necessary paper work to enroll in the MDT Adopt-A-Highway program.  We requested, and were granted, a two mile section of Highway 12 west of Lolo Hot Springs.  Defying Gravity adopted this section of highway on behalf of our youth climbing team, The Gnar Pirates.  We chose this section of highway based on it’s  historical significance and location to wonderful granite climbing and bouldering  in the surrounding area.

In accordance with the MDT guidelines we pick up roadside garbage three times a year.  Our signs were installed in August and in October we held our first cleanup.  Ten kids from our youth team, our board, parents and friends participated and gave back to our community.
